Our mission is to equip students with a strong foundation and the independent study skills needed for mastery Chinese, ensuring their success in college and a lifetime of continued learning. The meaning of 'plus' is the addition of self-reliance, transforming students from passive learners into active masters of the language.
We focus on developing five specific competencies for our students:
Listening at natural speed — understanding Chinese the way native speakers actually use it in daily life.
Mastering pronunciation — aiming for near‐perfect accuracy to support confident communication.
Independent vocabulary learning — guiding students to use AI tools effectively so they can expand their Chinese skills with confidence.
Chinese typing — helping students type quickly and correctly; handwriting is encouraged but optional for cost-effectiveness.
Knowing how to say things and what to say — “how to say” reflects language ability, while “what to say” reflects cultural understanding.
Learning Chinese, or any language, is not a classroom exercise; it is an expedition. We believe that true fluency is a summit you must climb yourself—it cannot be given to you.
Think of our instructors not as teachers, but as mountain guides. We know the terrain, we map the route, and we ensure your safety. But the climb belongs to you. To help you reach the peak, we equip you with a "survival kit" of study strategies and comprehensive resources. Our goal is to prepare you for the day you no longer need a guide, allowing you to explore new heights on your own.

Mastering Chinese is a long journey—even for native-speaking students in China. Achieving true proficiency often requires years of immersion and consistent, focused study at elementary school and middle school. It demands even greater effort in a non-immersive environment.
According to the U.S. State Department's National Foreign Affairs Training Center, Chinese is a “Super-hard languages” which are exceptionally difficult for native English speakers. It is expected to take 88 weeks / 2200 class hours to reach S3 General Professional Proficiency. In specifics, for example, the newest HSK (Chinese Proficiency Test) requires 150 words for beginning level, 1,400 words for the lower-intermediate level, and 11,000+ words to reach advanced proficiency.
