Principle Instructor
Dr. Tingting Chang, originally from Tangshan, China, possesses over 15 years of experience in Chinese language education. She has served as a Chinese Teaching Assistant at West Virginia University and the STARTALK program, delivering expert instruction across both virtual and traditional classroom settings. With a strong background in language education and music, she holds a BA and MA from Beijing Normal University and a DMA from West Virginia University. Dr. Chang is passionate about helping students develop practical language skills while fostering a deep appreciation for Chinese culture.
Instructor
Jing Zhang, a native of Changsha, China, brings two years of STARTALK teaching experience both online and in-person. Jing holds a BA and MA from Beijing Normal University and an MCRP from Clemson University. Jing enjoys connecting with students as peers, sharing fun and meaningful learning experiences. Jing is obsessed with tennis.
Volunteer Teaching Assistant

Annie Zhang is middle school student. She served as a volunteer teaching assistant for the STARTALK Chinese camp at South Middle School in Martinsburg, WV. An energetic language learner, Annie has mastered 2,000 Chinese words and is currently reading Zheng Yuanjie's Twelve Zodiac Fairy Tales in Chinese. In addition to Chinese, she is also studying Japanese, Latin, and Italian. Annie plays a lot of tennis.
